Butter Bandit Bakery is a small-scale pop up bakery that likes to play around in the kitchen! We draw inspiration from all around - childhood nostalgia, our Filipino roots, even savory cuisine - to craft silly little treats with delightful flavors.

About David

I'm the person that makes the cookies! I don't have any formal culinary training, but I've had a passion for cooking since I was a child.

After a modest career as a software developer, I decided I wanted to slow my life down and take a break from the tech industry, which I felt was drifting further and further away from the energy I wanted to put into the world.

One of my core motivations is bringing delight and inspiration to others by making weird, unexpected things - this led me to experimenting a lot with cookies, and eventually to the creation of Butter Bandit Bakery. I hope you enjoy our silly little treats!

About Ginger

Ginger (full name "Gingersnap") is the titular Butter Bandit - as a kitten, she would basically dumpster dive into our trash can to lap at discarded butter wrappers and would try to steal anything that had butter, milk, or any other kind of dairy in it.

She enjoys sunbathing, napping, and trying to trick people into feeding her extra treats. She'll still try to steal something buttery right out of our hands if we're not careful, but she is a sweet baby regardless.


